Bubba Ho-Tep!

As part of the Bruce Campbell Horror Film Festival, they're showing Bubba Ho-Tep.
Afterwards there's a Q&A with the one and only, Bruce Campbell!
If you've never seen it, Bubba Ho-Tep features Bruce as Elvis and Ozzie Davis as JFK. They battle an Egyptian demon that's eating the souls of their fellow nursing home residents.

It's at the convention center in Rosemont, but for everyone that doesn't have a car (me), it's only about a 15 minute walk from the Rosemont Blue Line stop.

Here's a link to tickets!

There's also the option to buy tickets to get an autograph from, or picture with, Mr. Campbell if any of you ladies are interested.

Should be a good time!
I hope to see all you horror lovin' ladies there!

Christopher Lee Triple Feature!

Cooties meet-up #2
The Patio Theatre is showing a triple feature of Christopher Lee films on Saturday July 25th!

Horror of Dracula
My favorite Christopher Lee Hammer Horror film!
https://youtu.be/ZTbY0BgIRMk

Raw Meat
A cannibal couple that drags people to their deaths in the tunnels of the London Underground.
The director Gary Sherman will be there to sign autographs and take photos.

And last but not least, The Wicker Man
A total classic! Creepy pagan rituals and sacrifice ensure a bountiful harvest.

The whole thing is only $10! What a deal!
I'll be there for all 3 films, but feel free to come even if you can only stay for one.
It's a Terror In The Aisles event, which means there will be lots of other stuff going on, like short films in-between the main features, and lots of local horror vendors selling shirts, posters, toys, comics, etc.
It should be an awesome Saturday night!
I hope all you horror-loving ladies can make it!

A First Time For Everything

Hey Ladies!
The first meet-up of Cooties will be this Saturday, June 20th 2pm at The Music Box for
THE BIRDS!!

Who doesn't want to see Melanie Griffith's Mom attacked by a MURDER of crows?!?!
Plus an Ornithologist from The Field Museum will be giving a lecture afterwards about the accuracy of the film. Sweeeeeet!

The Birds – Saturday, June 20th at 2:00pm
*Presented with Josh Engel, Ornithologist
Josh Engel has been watching birds for as long as he can remember. Fortunately, watching The Birds as a child only enhanced his fascination with them. Currently an ornithologist at The Field Museum, he has done bird-related field work and led birdwatching trips all over the world.
